Conners Blessing, Easter & Cereal!!!

Conner's Blessing

We blessed Conner on Easter Sunday. It was a great day! He looked so cute in his little white tux! Your gonna think this sounds horrible, but I didnt get any pictures! ha but heres the reason. I had his pictures taken in his tux a few days before, because I knew that since our church is at 9 by the time we came home, had our brunch with our family and friends, and finally found time to take pictures, Conner would be not very happy, and be ready for a nap! I was right! So its a good thing I had his pictures taken before hand by my sister in law. She also snapped some shots at the brunch with Conner and our family and friends! She is on vacation this week, so when she gets back in town and gets Conners pictures done I will post them! Tim gave Conner the sweetest blessing! He is so cute with him! Luckily Conner didnt cry during the blessing, so we could hear everything! He was a really good boy that day! We are so grateful to have Conner in our lives, he has such a sweet spirit! He is always smiling and talking to everyone and his attitude is contagious!

Easter
We had a great Easter Sunday blessing Conner and celebrating the resurrection of our Savior. Tim and I decided that we always want to make sure our kids know the real reason we celebrate Easter, and even though Conner is too little to understand any of that now, we made sure the Easter Bunny left him something spiritual. We also made some really yummy Easter rolls. The recipe came out of a book from Desert Book called, A Christ Centered Easter. The book has activities for families to do together and recipes that are fun to do around Easter. Here is the recipe for the rolls, they are really simple!

Easter Rolls:

1 package of frozen bread or roll dough, thawed (or use your own recipe for rolls)
6 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 bag large marshmallows
1/4 c butter, melted

Combine cinnamon and sugar, set aside. Place 1 marshmallow in the center of each roll. Pinch firmly around the marshmallow, roll into a seamless ball. Brush with melted butter. Roll in Cinnamon Sugar. Cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate overnight. On Sunday morning, preheat oven to 350 and bake 15 min, until golden brown.

Just like Christ's tomb on Easter, Sunday these rolls will be empty!

They pretty much taste like cinnamon rolls, but they are a fun activity to do as a family!

Tim and Conner looking for eggs! obviously I didnt make it very hard! But our church is at 9 so we had to make it quick!

My handsome little man!!

Conner and his easter basket! He got candy, a bunny, a cell phone, and his first Book of Mormon book! He loves to read his Book of Mormon book, we read a story or two every night, and he smiles the whole time were reading and through his prayers, its so cute!

Tims mom had an easter egg hunt that evening! This is Stella, Jonah, and Conner waiting to go out!

Jonah is such a cute little boy! He loves Conner so much! He couldnt wait for anther boy cousin (he only had 1 before). When we told Jonah that we were moving to to Florida he yelled, "I'm coming with you!!!" then he looked at Myah (his sister) and said, "You wanna move to Florida?" He's since decided that since his family isn't going to be there, that he will just visit us! On Sunday when he was holding Conner he looked at me and said, "I dont want Conner to get bigger, I just want him to stay little forever!" We are going to miss Jonah and his cute personality so much!!

Tim and Conner after the easter egg hunt!

Cereal
Conner had cereal for the first time the other day! He didnt know what to think of it at first, but by the end he was loving it! I cant believe my baby is old enough to be eating that already!

Open big!!

This was his first bite! ha ha

Fun, Family & Florida

Conner
Conner is so much fun! We love having his sweet spirit in our house! He is 3 months old now, and weighs 17lbs and is in 6-9 month clothes! They say kids grow up to fast! But I think Conner is growing faster than most! I cry every time he moves up a size! I know I'm a baby! He is so smiley all the time! He loves to talk, smile, be outside, watch tv, sleep, eat, swing, and look at toys, he cant hold them yet, but he likes to look!! We are loving every min!!

While doing my friend Stacey's extensions, we thought it'd be funny to see what Conner looked like with hair! He thought it was funny too!

He looks so tuff!
Conner had a cold and we had to do steam sessions with the shower, and he fell asleep! I love it!
I came home the other day to find Tim trying to put on the baby bijorn, he was so embarrassed!
He's so funny!!

Cedar City/St. George
Last weekend we went to Cedar City and St. George for the weekend and stayed with my grandparents. My great great great grandpa Robert Gardner Jr. helped establish St. George, was the first LDS bishop there and served as the mayor for 2 terms. They built a statue as a tribute to him at the tabernacle in St. George. Elder Jeffery R. Holland is a descendant from him and dedicated the statue. It was fun to be able to attened the dedication. My cousin Kimberly got married that weekend as well. It was such a beautiful wedding! And ao fun to see all the cousins. Congrats Kim and Kevin!!

The sun was in his eyes, but he loved being outside there!!

Florida

For those of you who dont know, Tim, Conner and I are moving to Florida at the end of this month! I know really soon! Tim decided since its not a great time to becoming a pilot he would give Air Traffic Control a shot. There arent any schools here, and our best option was Florida! We are so sad to be leaving our families, but know that it will be a great experience for our little family! The program is only a year, and then it can take up to a year to get placed in an airport. Hopefully he can get a job at the Salt Lake Airport! Keep your fingers crossed!!

There I am!! ha ha
